Spells in Heroes 3 differ from those in 2 in one big way. They are now classified by school (air, water, fire, earth) as well as level. You can acquire a secondary skill in any of these schools to increase the effectiveness of these spells and reduce the cost of casting them. (More secondary skill information will be provided later).

For ease of reference, the skills here are still categorized by level. The descriptions include the school to which each belongs, the type of spell (combat or adventure), cost of casting and duration of spell (without possessing a secondary skill in that school), and descriptions of how the spell works in each school.
