Whether you join one or both depends upon how involved you wish to be and how you like to get your information. The Message Board is part of the Yahoo!Club "Dan McGillis" and allows you to post messages, links, and photos, as well as enter the chat room with other members and much more. Participation in the Club requires the use of a Yahoo!ID in order to join.
The mailing list is just that. A one-sided mailing list, with occasional messages concerning the website or Dan happenings. Participation in the mailing list requires a valid email account. Any information collected from you in either location is kept confidential.
Dan fans are invited to join one or both of these. The choice is up to you. The link to the Club is beneath the mail list sign up.
